Thanksgiving Break

This last weekend, my best friend Jessica Mayfield took Richard Gardner to be her lawfully wedded husband. It really just blows my mind. To be honest. I am so thankful that I was able to be a part of the wedding and to be able to share in their special day. (I was a bridesmaid) This is them. Aren't they lovely? It was a beautiful day!!


However, in order to be a part of this day, I had to participate in TWO 20+ hour roadtrips in 4 days. Ross Shannon and I drove all the way to Boston from Dunbar, WI, starting at noon, and arrived at the Mayfields at 9am. Then I was able to stay with them all day and enjoy Thanksgiving meal and so on. Then on Friday was our Personal Shower and then the decoration of the church, and the Rehearsal Dinner. The next morning the bridesmaids were at the church by 7:30am. The wedding was at 11am, there were a few pictures afterwards, and then the reception. Afterwards we cleaned the church, and then I was back at the Mayfields for the get-together with all of their out-of-town-relatives. The Ross came at 7pm, and we picked up Myriam Jutras, and started our drive back!! It was sooooo long, and as you can see from my little story, there was no time for naps. The following picture is us at Niagara at 2am in the morning. I had never been there before, so that was sweet, and I am very thankful for hie kind thought, but the lights were off, and we couldn't really see. But all that means is that I need to go back again!! :)

Scotland, the Home of my Heart.

These are pictures of Scotland. I miss this land so much!!! The picture on the left is of a pipe band, in the city of Edinburgh. I love the skurl of the pipers and the drummers.

The picture on the right is Glencoe a historic site in Scotland. A place to visit.

I am not very verbose tonight, but I couldn't very well have a blog and not talk about Scotland. I love it very much!!!! It is the Bonnie Home Land! I can't wait until I visit again.

Random Camp Memory

Well I have been blogging a lot tonight, and I should be in bed, but I have one more post.
I have to talk about my extension. This is a really old picture, from last fall as you can see, but I didn't have another one. From left to right are Megan Hare, Carmen Scott, Leah Ring, Lela Rhode, Jake Hare, Keith Boss, Megan Skibbe, Jordan Rhode, JP Camp, Jarred Hare, myself, Kent Ring and Tyler Shaffer. Missing is Jeremie Savard, and our newest addition to the family, Janice "Mom" Boss. I love Rhinelander and the people there, and serving in the church is an outreach, and never a burden in my opinion. Should God call me to stay in the States, I pray he lets me be in a church like Faith Baptist Church of Rhinelander.

Jessica Mayfield, soon to be Gardner, is a Best Friend. I love her sooo much. This semester has been so hard without her, and I am just counting down the days until I can see her. 3 weeks from tomorrow!! I can't wait. It will be exciting too, because it will be 2 days until her wedding!
But as I was saying, I miss her so much, so I wanted to share this picture no matter how awful it looks. I will put up better ones after her marriage. :)

I love these girls. They are my dear friends from college. Some of these have moved on, and some are missing from this picture, but I just love this one, so I am posting it.
From Left to right, back first, is Amy Brumbaugh (might have recognized her from the granny pics) then Klarissa. She is engaged now to Josh, to be married at Christmas time. She has been sitting out for a year and a half now. 3 months of which, she spent in Uruguay with her sister and brother-in-law helping them with their move.
After her is Katie. Katie is working in NY at home. She graduated with an Associates Degree our sophomore year.
Julie (Adams) Benson got married this summer, and will be finished this semester. We will miss her in the Spring.
Right in the middle is Julie Rabe, my dear dear friend. She transferred to MBBC, and strangley has been there as long as she was here. We miss her so much around here, and I am excited, because I will see her in less than a month.
In front of her is Ida, my ever faithful roommate. She and I (and Paula) are having a great year so far because even though we are suffering some, we are learning through it.

I love these girls. I will try to post more. O I think I have one of Jess I can put up... we'll see.

Neices and Nephews, really... Are a WHOLE LOT of fun!

Monica is soon to be 14, and she is quite the young lady. (Sorry Monica, I'll get a better picture soon. If you send one... ;)
Zachery turned 12 this summer. Fun Kid. Way to be, Crackery.
Logan is 4 and perhaps the cutest nephew ever... well I guess we'll see when Jesse grows up! Although, Zachery is right up there too!!
The little Alana is 2 (right Alisha?) and will be turning over her 'baby' status to little Jesse Lee whom I am unable to post pictures of.
This is the Chamberland Branch of my family, and I love them all. I will try to post more pics of the missing soon.

Newest Nephew

Jesse Lee, my newest nephew, born to Alisha (my sister) and Matthew Chamberland last Friday October 20th. Grammy and Grampy are there with them, as well as two of my brothers Chad and Kendrick, and I am really jealous of course.
I should be seeing him at Christmastime though, so I can't wait.

SPIRIT WEEK: GEEZER DAY

On Monday my friends and I, as members of the Senior Class, decided to go all out for Geezer Day during Northland's Spirit Week. After a couple of trips to Goodwill, and clawing through the backs of our closets, we managed to find outfits fitting for our grandmothers.

Ida, (in the hat) was a gardening grandmother from New York, with the accent and shuffle down. She carried her trowel and *Scarlet Claw* and some flowers all for effect.
Amy was our grandmother from the south. She also had the accent. and walker. and curlers. and bathrobe. priceless.
And then Jeni. She was our cruiser. You know the granny who goes on cruises... and she had the glasses and lips to match. And then I was the severe Scottish Grandmother. You can't see my skirt in these pictures, but it was pulled all the way up, and I had my scottish accent on for the day. And of course the wheelchair was a lot of fun...
Well so I have to tell you that I won for best dressed Granny, but I couldn't have done it without these friends. I love them so much. It was so fun, and we wanted to prove to the freshmen that it is better to have spirit and go all out. It isn't nerdy.

Wait till I get pictures of Tuesday - Green and White Day...

Well I am shouting out to my newest neice. Layla Helen Rozelle was born at 5:50 am in Scotland this morning. She is 7lbs, 10 oz and is 19 inches long. She has the beginnings of red hair, which shows in her eyebrows which would seem to indicate that it will grow in as beautiful as her father's. I heard it can break hearts, and if she inherits her mother's and father's good looks then she will be tearing up those Sottish lad's hearts. A more sobering thought comes when I think that this would have been my mother's firstborn grandchild. I pray that she will grow up to be as Godly as her grandmother before her. My Dad is well chuffed with himself. It is his firstborn's firstborn. Of course we love Alisha's children, and I will probably post about them very soon. But there is just something special about Layla. Some of you will understand. Most of you wont. But that is ok. She is just special.

Well, I needed a picture, and I only had this, because I am using Jeni's computer. She just started a blog tonight too, so be sure to look at her link in the sidebar.

Anyway, all that to say these are some of my friends here at school. We got Johnathon to come up and surprise her for her 21st birthday. It was a blast to plan!!! And she was for sure surprised!

I realize this is old, but I needed a picture. Isn't that the point of these blog things anyway?!?! That and keeping in touch... so keep in touch. Love you friends.

Well, here is a new one.

I always so enjoy looking at Julie Annette's blogspot. (I copied her name a little bit... Might change, but I needed a name quickly.) Anyway, I thought it would be fun every once in awhile to put up pictures.... not that I really have any, but what can I say? Julie really is an inspiration to us all. As far as I know, this may go nowhere, but, we'll see. I just needed a new one, because I am not in Uruguay any more, and so on and so forth.

Anyway, I am rambling, and listening to Christmas music, and off to work...
