The last couple of weeks have been a little busy for Phillip and I. Not only were the DeMartes Sr. preparing for their return to the mission field of Fiji (more on that later), Phillip's grandfather, (mentioned earlier) became sick soon after our last visit with him. He already had parkinsons disease, but he contracted pneumonia also, and his lungs were filling with liquid. As mentioned before, we were praying that Grandpa would accept the Lord. Mom and Dad DeMarte were able to visit with him several times, and it seems as though he did finally surrender his life to the Lord. And just in time, as he passed from this life into the next on sunday am.
In light of that, last week we were all going back and forth to spend time with Grandma, and planning the funeral and also trying to get the DeMartes ready for their journey. Praise the Lord for the Gospel being preached and for many unsaved hearing it.
